About SzeMUN:
A Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about civics, current events, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy. In a standard Model UN, students take on roles of diplomats and participate in a simulated session of an intergovernmental organization (IGO). Participants research a country, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to global problems.
Basically SzeMUN is the same as any other MUN, but for us it is more than just a conference. It is the first time that a few students of the University of Szeged decided to organize this event. Our goal is to make our city and our university well-known and internationally recognized.
We cordially invite all schools and delegate levels to attend our third annual conference from April 11th-13th, 2012. For the past two years, SZEMUN has been combining its unique tier system with its mission of education through simulation aiming to create a unique delegate experience.
